How we got
started:
New Mexico Luminaria Company was founded by two friends who, although
had full-time jobs, were always thinking of new business ideas, products
or inventions. One Christmas holiday season as Albuquerque was decorated
with traditional outdoor luminarias, the light bulb went on and they thought
to themselves, "why not have luminarias that you can safely use inside
the home?" There wasn't much on the market for indoor luminarias,
and what they did find used real candles. Not wanting to burn down their
houses they decided to make a luminaria using a battery operated light
source. Thus the Little Luminaria was born.
Now luminarias can be enjoyed inside as well as outside
the home by people all across the world.
